We always wanted to have a clean head. A “plug and play” device is an amplifier without added effects. Simple, intuitive, and so that everyone can reveal the layer of sophistication that best serves our projects and our skills. "The Exponent 500" is a new concept that, once connected, transforms into a multi-effects unit, with fully programmable and pre-adjustable signal chains with all the components a professional bassist needs.
Front Panel Features
To input
Use this jack to connect your instrument via a standard 6.35mm mono cable.
Quick Pots
There are five "Quick-Pots" on the front panel of the Exponent 500 (a, b, c, d and e).
By default, these knobs are mapped to the four amp EQ frequency bands and a preset-specific control.
In Darkglass Suite, you can freely link "Quick-Pots" to your selection of five controls from the effects in your signal chain.
Master
Use this button to control the overall volume of the amplifier.
Preset
Press the preset button to cycle through presets 1-5 and a bypass signal. The current preset is displayed with a single LED next to the preset number. When the e500 is bypassed, all preset LEDs display a dim white color.

ATTENTION
· No user serviceable parts inside the amplifier. Do not open the amp.
· Never use the amplifier in a very humid environment or near liquids.
· The “Exponent 500” can deliver more than 115 dB of power. Exposure to this sound level can damage your hearing. Use appropriate hearing protection if you will be exposed.
· The Exponent 500 can deliver more than 500 Watts. Make sure your speaker is capable of delivering this power.
· Do not cover the ventilation holes. The fan and vents are part of the amp's cooling system. Covering the ventilation holes may damage the power amplifier by overheating it.
· Do not use an instrument cable as a speaker cable. An instrument cable is not designed to provide the type of power signals sent from the amplifier to the speaker.
