Flatiron Fuzz is a classic, extremely versatile fuzz/distortion powered by a classic Op-amp, housed in a die-cast, pedalboard-friendly chassis. The Flatiron Fuzz's distinctive sound is the result of its classic late '70s circuitry and the fact that it delivers symmetrical hard clipping. This is EHX's take on the RAT2 pedal.

The Flatiron Fuzz has three controls: Volume, Drive and Filter. Volume sets the output level while Drive adjusts the sustain and distortion level. The unique Filter control is actually a low-pass filter with a moving cutoff frequency. It's especially cool because it lets you dial in just the right amount of high end - from dark to steamy.

At lower drive settings, the Flatiron Fuzz stays quite clean and adds a nice, light distortion. By turning the drive upwards, you obtain very dense, thick and fleshy tones. When the guitar's volume is turned down, it cleans up, but not completely.

The Flatiron Fuzz is named after the historic Flatiron Building in New York. This is an iconic landmark located right next to the EHX headquarters in the 1970s and is the building depicted on the pedal.

The new pedal features true-bypass for maximum signal path integrity in bypass mode, a 9V battery and an optional EHX9.6DC-200 AC adapter.
