The new Les Paul Standard takes up the classic design so much played and appreciated, shaping sounds across generations and musical styles. It pays homage to the glory days of Gibson's many innovations and brings authenticity back to life. The Les Paul Standard '50s features a solid mahogany body with a maple top and a '50s-style rounded mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard and trapezoid inlays. It features a classic ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge, an aluminum “Stop Bar” tailpiece, Vintage Deluxe tuning machines with Keystone pegs and top hat buttons. with an aged gold finish. The calibrated Burstbucker 1 (neck position) and Burstbucker 2 (bridge position) pickups are equipped with Alnico 2 magnets, audio potentiometers and Orange Drop capacitors.
