The Martin D-28 is considered the most iconic acoustic guitar in the world, acclaimed by generations of musicians and played by countless legends across all genres. Its Dreadnought shape and forward-shifted bracing give it a powerful and expressive tone, with deep bass, crystalline highs, and rich harmonics that have defined acoustic music for nearly a century. Handcrafted with a solid spruce top and solid East Indian rosewood back and sides, the D-28 produces a full and perfectly balanced sound, suitable for all playing styles. The satin-finished neck, featuring a Modified Low Oval profile with a High Performance Taper and a 25.4-inch scale length, ensures optimal playing comfort. With its antique white binding, ebony fingerboard adorned with mother-of-pearl inlays, ebony bridge with bone pins, and open-gear nickel tuners, the D-28 combines timeless craftsmanship with modern playability. Available in several gloss and satin finishes, the D-28 is the ideal guitar to reveal the artist within you.
Martin's reimagined Standard Series for 2025 enhances tone, comfort, and style. The Sitka spruce GE top bracing, featured on the Modern Deluxe series, provides vintage-inspired tone and sustain, while improvements such as a redesigned neck profile, a thinner fingerboard, and reworked bridge and heel optimize playability and aesthetics. Each guitar comes with a hardshell case.
