When the opening riff of "Good Times Bad Times" blasted through the radio in 1969, everything changed. In that moment, Jimmy Page etched his legacy into history and altered the course of popular music, armed with a single guitar: his Fender Telecaster. The Fender Jimmy Page Telecaster pays tribute to this instrument, which originally featured a "White Blonde" lacquer finish before becoming the "Mirror guitar" and ultimately taking on its final form: a unique and magical piece, hand-painted by Page himself, which would give birth to some of the most iconic riffs of the 20th century.
The Jimmy Page Telecaster features an ash body adorned with the original pattern envisioned by Page: colorful swirls of green, orange, yellow, blue, and red that snake across the entire instrument. Two Fender® Jimmy Page Custom Tele® single-coil pickups deliver an incandescent and rich tone, responsible for the unforgettable guitar licks that define Led Zeppelin's first album. The maple neck, with a custom "Oval C" profile, is topped with a 7.25-inch (184 mm) radius rosewood fingerboard equipped with 21 vintage-style frets, offering a smooth playing feel. The "top-loader" bridge allows for strings to be mounted either through the body or directly through the bridge; this configuration produces a rounder, warmer tone while reducing string tension for easier bends. The instrument also features a bone nut and vintage-style tuners, ensuring authentic aesthetics and performance.
Developed in collaboration with Jimmy Page himself, the Jimmy Page Telecaster incorporates personalized elements, including the artist's signature on the headstock and on the chrome neck plate, a red coiled cable, and a vintage "seatbelt" style white strap. Regarding his beloved Telecaster, Jimmy Page summed it up perfectly: "I really made it my own; it’s a completely magical guitar."
