Launched in 2016, the TransAcoustic guitar is an innovative acoustic guitar featuring Yamaha's TransAcoustic™ technology, which combines authentic acoustic sound with digital technology for advanced features. Best of all, TransAcoustic guitars allow you to add effects to your playing without an external amplifier or cables, simply through the guitar itself. String vibrations are converted into electrical signals, which pass through effect processing before being transmitted to actuators inside the guitar. The vibrations generated by the actuators are then transmitted to the guitar's body to produce the desired effects. The real and processed sounds resonate together and radiate from inside the guitar body to produce a natural sound with rich effects. As a second-generation model in the TransAcoustic lineup, the TAG3 C represents the next evolution of the original TransAcoustic guitar's features. Its dreadnought cutaway body is ideal for powerful strumming and features a solid Sitka spruce top along with solid mahogany back and sides. Thanks to a new and improved actuator (two in total), the guitars also offer higher-quality effects, as well as a built-in looper function. A new delay effect has been added to the original reverb and chorus effects, bringing the total to three. The looper function boosts creativity by allowing musicians to record their own sound and play it back in a loop, enabling them to layer phrases while playing. The TAG Remote app allows you to adjust the output level of these effects. The new Bluetooth® audio function also allows you to connect a smart device and stream sound through the guitar body. The TAG3 C is an all-in-one instrument that covers the entire musical creative process: listening, playing, and creating.

2. Use the new built-in looper feature to record your own sound and play it back in a loop. For example, you can record yourself playing chords and percussion on the guitar body, then loop it while playing a melody. Buttons on the side of the guitar and a touch sensor on the top offer intuitive controls, allowing the musician to create freely and quickly turn ideas into music. The dedicated app can save up to ten loop phrases for easy access at any time.

While previous models used dry cell batteries, the TAG3 C is equipped with a rechargeable lithium-ion battery with a magnetic charging connection for more powerful sound and extended battery life (up to five and a half hours). The body is also equipped with a built-in tuner, allowing you to pick up the guitar and play immediately, without the need for a separate tuner. When connected to an amplifier, the TAG3 C transforms into an electric-acoustic guitar, perfect for stage use.
