The new voice of rock and roll
When inspiration strikes, you need a voice to proclaim it. When you need that voice, count on the Keeley Oxblood Overdrive to be your workhorse. The Keeley Oxblood Overdrive is our answer to everyone who clones the "Mythical Beast" pedal. We decided to build an original design. We wanted to create a new circuit that allows players to go from perfectly clear sound to a crushing roar. We wanted that incredibly huge, focused midrange that makes any guitar (Strat, Paul, Tele) sound incredible. We knew we could do it our way and give you more tone. So we designed this pedal in just a few days to outperform the old pedal. I am convinced that we not only shed blood, but we also created a #killer.
CLEAN, DISTORTION, FUZZ — IT'S ALL THERE
With Oxblood Overdrive, you release the Drive Control and get a perfectly clear sound; you can dial in any amount of distortion and volume to send an amp into pure tonal Nirvana. The Keeley Oxblood Overdrive gives you two ways to clip and saturate your signal with harmonics by selecting carefully chosen diodes. These are different from the standard Oxblood. These diodes were chosen to give you bigger, more open amp sounds without too much compression.
The key to the ultimate overdrive, in our opinion, is the ability to control five different parameters.
Bass response. The Phat Switch reduces the bass response to give you that classic screamer or that legendary K-type midrange shelf. The bass response, when muted, is saturated with a hint of 2nd order harmonics. Punchy and full but not overbearing, it cuts like a buffalo. What can I say ?
Cut. Sometimes there just isn't enough winning in the world. Well, that's not the case with this beast. The Clipping Switch gives you the ability to sing with near-infinite sustain or simply stand on your amp like a boss.
Tone control. You have to be able to dial in the treble perfectly, otherwise nothing else matters, right? It's the highs that make it ear candy or ice picks. Hell, we give you the ability to do whatever you want to do. And that's a hell of a sentence.
Volume. You have to be able to put your foot down when you choose it damn well. Doubling the voltage in our circuit gives you exactly that. Margin for days. Kill an amp, leave it a mess. No, you won't be blowing tubes, but you will have them at the right temperature to make them glow with deliciousness.
To drive. What? Do you want me to describe Drive to you? Shoot, from “Is it on?” cleans up to searing sustain and saturation. It pushes you. Forces you to play. I play constantly...
Midrange. Wait. Didn't I say 5? Well, the 6th sign of a wonderful overdrive pedal is what's under the hood. It is a masterful creation of sensual mediums. The kind of midrange singers or cellos we are known for. Gorgeous and powerful. Not just a feminine tone, but a manly roar. Not crowded and stuffed. Concentrated and brilliant.
TRIFECTA
The Keeley Oxblood Overdrive was designed by Robert Keeley and Craighton Hale with the assistance and insight of Jack Orman. Jack Orman has been a pioneer in the modern world of effects for 20 years. His thoughts and ideas are incorporated by almost all store builders. Here's your chance to hear a brand new creation designed to outdo any of the clones.
