Andy Timmons' mysterious "Halo" effect is a double-echo modulated sound that has long been kept secret by the sound wizard himself. Andy has spent decades combining and crafting the sounds you can now get from the Halo. The Halo's notes dance rhythmically, almost creating a diffusion of reverb.
These notes are held together through tape-like effects such as modulation, saturation, and compression. The results are astonishing. The pedal comes with its own echo sound, and you can program your own sounds and save them as presets. Easily switch from Side A to Side B on the fly, essentially giving you two echo pedals in one. In addition to Andy's signature Halo sound, there are many other rhythm echoes, including quarter note, dotted eighth note, rack-mounted stereo analog echo, and retro multi-head tape echo. Stunning stereo and pristine sound quality are further enhanced by controls for saturation, tone and gradient correction filters that give you the ultimate echo pedal.
Shape your tone
Use the Saturate control to add a tape compression texture to your sound. The tone and high pass filter control the shape and blend of your overall echo. The rhythm mode switch offers 5 echo types, including Andy's unique "Halo" sound. Set the time and feedback controls low, and you can open up a world of ambient chorus and flanger effects. Run the Halo in stereo for an incredible stereo image. Save your favorite combination of settings as a preset and the Halo becomes an incredibly compact multi-effects workstation.
The sound of two echoes
Use the Halo as two echo pedals working in tandem, allowing you to switch between your main echo (side A) and another (side B). With up to 1500ms of echo available, set sides A and B for different echoes, then simply switch between them with the footswitch. Our Smart Stomp system allows you to press and hold either switch to activate tap-tempo mode. Press and hold the pedal's alternate switch for infinite repeat/sustain. Each preset bank gives you 2 echo settings for a total of 8 storable user effects!
