The "GB-4" is completely unique among the LTD bass series with its powerful and versatile electronics that combine a set of "Seymour Duncan SSB-4" passive pickups with Duncan's "STC-3M3" active EQ. Not only will you be able to sculpt your sound with stacked treble/bass controls and a dedicated midrange control; you also get a "push-pull" function on the volume knob that engages the slap switch of the "GB-4" a special EQ contour voiced specifically for slap bass. There are even potentiometers on the circuit board that can be tweaked to preset the contour of the slap EQ to where you want it. The sound from this set of pickups and preamp electronics is huge... beefy and round, with excellent articulation on the low end (especially good for poorly tuned bass players). The "GB-4" offers a very sturdy 5-bolt construction, with a swamp ash body and a maple neck that has killer block inlays on the fingerboard. Professional-grade components with stunning gold hardware include a solid "Gotoh 404BO-4" bridge with brass saddles that allow for standard and through-body setups.
