The Chopper™ is the more powerful and punchy version of the Fast Track 1™. It focuses more power in the mids and lows for a fuller, biting sound. It shares the same dual-blade structure and side-by-side coils as the Fast Track 1™, eliminating any issues with pole piece alignment or string pull. Initially designed as a bridge pickup to be paired with the Cruiser® and the Fast Track 1™, it also proves to be an excellent neck pickup when a high-output humbucker is installed in the bridge position.
The sound of the Chopper™ is a hybrid between a single-coil and a standard humbucker, offering more body than a single-coil and more clarity than a humbucker. It is an ideal choice to beef up the sound and increase the power of a Strat® bridge pickup, where it can be paired with two Fast Track 1™ pickups or with a Fast Track 1™ in the neck position and the Cruiser® (DP187) in the middle position.
