The Sonzera 20 is a 20-watt power amplifier, featuring two independently controlled, footswitchable channels, designed for maximum versatility. The "clean" channel delivers full, three-dimensional tones reminiscent of American models from the mid-1960s. The gain channel is linked to raw circuitry, so it can be configured to act as a pumped-up "clean" channel or manipulated to make the channels sound the same as two completely different amps (the gain can be adjusted from mild to very heavy distortion simply by using the drive and level controls). The "Bright" switch on the gain channel has been carefully designed to deliver the familiar snap of highs. The tuning is particularly effective on the bass strings, neck pickup as well as with the single-coil pickups, while the bass response is full, tight and clear. The Sonzera's two channels are designed to optimize note brilliance and definition. Global Presence and Tone controls allow you to dial in a variety of tones, from crystal clear to warm and dense. The Sonzera 20 also features a global spring reverb control that is designed to beautify notes without drowning them out. The effect can be turned on and off using the foot switch. The addition of a built-in effects loop makes it easy to use time-type units without negatively impacting the overall sound of the amp.
