The Aquarian "Classic Clear" (or "CC") head is a medium-weight, clear, single-ply drumhead designed for use as either a batter or resonant head on any drum.
Like all Aquarian heads, the CC features the "Sound Curve" collar design, which allows the bearing edge to find its own level in the curve of the hoop, making tuning fast and easy. The Safe-T-Lok hoop and "Nu-Brite" film let the drum speak fully, making the Classic Clear the ideal resonant head for any tom!
When used as a batter head, the 10-mil crystal-clear Nu-Brite film produces a very open sound with plenty of attack and a musical sustain. As a resonant head (the bottom side), the CC provides a warm, clear response without choking the sound.
About Resonant Heads (Bottom heads): Often overlooked, the resonant head plays a major role in the overall sound of the drum. A poor-quality or poorly tuned resonant head can ruin the sound of a great drum.
