The Mk3 Driver – Andy Timmons Full Range Overdrive pedal is an overdrive workstation that lets you create a multitude of sounds, from clean boost to high-gain saturation, to crystal-clear tube-amp overdrive, a germanium square-wave fuzz generator, and much more. This pedal combines a three-control blues driver circuit with two switches for Drive and Tone characteristics. Robert and Andy developed these switches to offer musicians a wide palette of saturated tones. The Drive switch activates two germanium diodes for a smoother, slightly compressed drive. Opt for Andy's clipping style for a brighter, more articulate attack. Every element of the circuit has been optimized for the sound and requirements of a studio and touring artist like Andy Timmons. Adding the Mk3 Driver to your pedalboard will likely improve the sound of your rig. This professional-sounding overdrive can be switched between true-bypass and buffered bypass at any time.
Classic blues saturation circuit, the result of decades of Keeley modification experience.
Germanium-based overdrive designed under the guidance of Andy Timmons.
AT/RK Tone Switch: bass roll-off for clarity or bass boost for more power.
AT/RK Gain Switch: toggle between asymmetrical silicon diodes and dual germanium diodes.
Buffered or True-Bypass: switch instantly based on your rig's needs.
JFET transistors, germanium diodes, and op-amp gain combine to create harmonic-rich saturation.
9 to 18-volt operation for exceptional dynamics and headroom.
ANDY TIMMONS – TONE SWITCH
The Mk3 Driver offers you two tone control circuits. When the tone switch is in the AT position, the tone control provides Andy's preferred voicing for the low-end response of an overdrive pedal. Every note in a chord is clear and articulate. If the tone switch is in the low (RK) position, you get the legendary Phat Boost in the low frequencies, ideal for boosting vintage or single-coil pickups.
FULL RANGE OVERDRIVE – DRIVE SWITCH
The Mk3 Driver circuit combines JFET saturation, diode clipping, and op-amp clipping to create a harmonic-rich tone. Drive switch in the high position for AT clipping: this mode uses asymmetrical LED diode clipping and offers Andy's Super AT Mod sound. Drive switch in the low position for RK clipping: the circuit uses two germanium diodes for clipping. This mode can sound like a vintage fuzz pedal, with a softer and more fluid feel.
MK3 DRIVER – BUFFERED BYPASS AND TRUE-BYPASS
The Mk3 Driver is equipped with our precision buffer for noise-free switching. We have developed a buffer that not only improves the sound of your rig but also offers you silent switching without tone loss. Switch instantly from true-bypass to buffered mode. Simply hold the pedal down for two seconds to toggle between the two modes! It's up to you to choose the ideal configuration for your gear.

A word from Andy Timmons:
The Mk3 Driver is the ultimate expression of the clean, slightly overdriven sound I have been seeking for several years. Robert Keeley and his wonderful team have once again done an exceptional job! The AT/AT setting is exactly my Super AT Mod sound: just the right amount of saturation, infinitely adjustable. Every note, every nuance is crystal clear. The craziest thing is that this mode also sounds great with the gain cranked, offering an incredibly cool Marshall crunch.
Owning the RK-modified BD-2 circuit is a real luxury, because it's the one I fell in love with years ago! It still inspires me just as much!
The real hidden gem is Robert's new modification that uses germanium diodes in place of the original silicon diodes. This creates a new type of clipping that works wonderfully, on its own or as a boost for my solos. It allows me to tame the lows with a precision I love.
With the Mk3 Driver and the Halo, I'm in tone heaven!
