Clipping section: Switchable between silicon clipping, as found in the classic RAT, and a MOSFET/germanium clipping section, a new addition to the RAT lineup. The MOSFET section offers a slight scoop and smoothing of the upper mids across the entire gain range, for a more natural, amp-like sound.
Socketed Op-Amp: The pedal comes with the OP07DP chip. However, replacing it with the legendary LM308, or any other compatible chip, is a quick and easy, solder-free modification.
Full-size CTS potentiometers: These provide a smooth, consistent sweep of the distortion, filter, and volume controls, making it easy to dial in a multitude of sweet spots.
Fat switch: This switch provides a significant bass boost and simultaneous treble roll-off, making the pedal better suited for bass, dropped tunings, and for thickening and smoothing out the tone at low gain settings, making it an excellent choice for overdrive.
9-18 V operation: Better dynamics and fidelity thanks to 18 V power supply, with reduced signal loss compared to older RAT models.
