Pyramids is a Stereo Flanging Device with five presets, eight flanger modes, tap tempo, tap subdivision, a multi-function Modify control, positive and negative feedback, and a variable Mix control, which is something you don’t see every day on a flanger.
Built on the same proprietary DSP architecture as the Avalanche Run™, Pyramids offers a convincing jet engine roar, authentic tape-style zero-point warble, infinite barber pole sweeps, flexible I/O routing, and the ability to re-trigger the LFO cycle via footswitch, opening up a fourth dimension of rhythmic possibilities that are sure to titillate your third ear.

Classic: offers the "classic" liquid-silk jet plane flanging sound we all know, love, and expect from any reputable flanging device.
Through-Zero: gives you authentic tape-style flanging without all the calibration, biasing, head demagnetizing, etc., that a real tape machine—two of them, actually—requires.
Barber Pole Up: "Barber Pole" flanging refers to an infinitely sweeping upward flanger with no beginning, middle, or end.
Barber Pole Down: Barber Pole Down is exactly like Barber Pole Up, except the flanging effect sweeps down in pitch, rather than up.
Trigger Up: similar to the Barber Pole Up mode, except in this mode, your pick attack (or pressing the Tap/Trigger switch) re-triggers the flanger from the beginning.
Trigger Down: Trigger Down is exactly the same as Trigger Up, only the flanger sweeps downwards.
Step: The Step mode attempts to restore order to the universe by sweeping up and down in progressive increments, much like a synthesizer sequencer.
Random: Random mode is like Step mode, except the sweep is random with no rhyme or reason.
1. Manual: Controls the delay time of the modulated signal. Manual can also be controlled by an expression pedal.
2. Rate: Controls the LFO speed as well as the rise time in "Trigger Up" mode and the fall time in "Trigger Down" mode. The rate control has three operating ranges: Slow, Normal, and Fast. These modes are selected by the Rate & Tap switch.
3. Width: Controls the frequency range of the LFO sweep. You can also think of it as a depth control for the LFO.
4. Mix: This is the volume control for the modulated signal. The modulated signal gets louder as you turn it clockwise and quieter as you turn it counter-clockwise.
5. Activate Footswitch: The Activate switch features Flexi-Switch™ technology! This relay-based true-bypass switch allows for momentary or latching operation.
6. Feedback: Controls the regeneration of the modulated signal.
7. Rate & Tap Toggle Switch: The "Normal" position (center position) is 1:1. The tempo you tap is the tempo Pyramids will output. When set to "Slow" (left position), the tempo you tap is divided for a slower sweep. When set to "Fast" (right position), the tempo you tap is multiplied and produces a faster sweep.
8. Modify: The behavior of this control depends on the mode being used.
9. Tap / Trigger Footswitch: In Classic, Through-Zero, Barber Pole Up, Barber Pole Down, Step, and Random modes, this footswitch controls the tempo. In Trigger Up and Trigger Down modes, this footswitch triggers the effect every time it is pressed.
10. Preset Rotary Switch: Allows you to choose between Live mode and one of the five presets. Pyramids comes with our favorite presets, but you can overwrite them if you want. We don't mind.
11. Mode Rotary Switch: Allows you to choose between Pyramids' eight flanger modes.

These presets are intended to get you started and are by no means comprehensive examples of these modes. Feel free to tweak or overwrite them if you wish.
