The JHS Pedals Summing Amp allows you to merge two inputs into one single output. Simply plug them into the two labeled inputs, then into your single output, and you're ready to go. From two signals, the Summing Amp creates a mono signal.
This is ideal for running effects in parallel without them affecting one another. The Edge used this technique in the 80s with his delays. By combining a quarter-note delay and a dotted eighth-note delay, then summing them, both delays are clearer and do not "delay" the delays. This technique can also be used with overdrives, which do not layer like they do in series, but rather stack in parallel. You can also combine fuzz and compression in parallel, so that the fuzz isn't choked by the compression.

THE SUMMING AMP IS DESIGNED TO WORK WITH INPUT SIGNALS THAT HAVE AN INPUT GAIN OF LESS THAN 14V. AN INPUT GAIN HIGHER THAN 14V WILL CAUSE CLIPPING.
