A three-band EQ finally lets you achieve the sound you desire from this circuit. The mode selector offers you a choice between two types of saturation: in the low position, a traditional gain structure; in the high position, a more incisive and warm sound, similar to that of tube amps, thanks to cascaded MOSFET gain stages. The Compulsion Drive holds even more sound-shaping possibilities.
One of the key features of the tcd is its ability to tap into the classic tones of the original circuit that inspired it. Two internal DIP switches allow you to shape the pedal to your preferences. The Fat switch adds warmth and deep bass for a richer sound, while the Diode switch modifies the gain profile via an additional clipping diode, for a more precise and saturated distortion.
