TWO SIDES, TWO CLASSIC PEDALS, LEGENDARY AMP TONES
The Throne Of Tone pays tribute to not one, but two highly sought-after overdrive pedals, inspired by a legendary late 60s amp recording. Twenty-five years after Blues Breakers With Eric Clapton revolutionized the quest for the perfect tone, a cult-status "amp-in-a-box" pedal was released, setting a new standard for transparent, amp-like overdrive sounds. From that original pedal came, over a decade later, a modified, two-channel boutique overdrive version that forever transformed the hierarchy of guitar overdrive. The original pedals used by artists like John Mayer, Gary Clark Jr, and John Petrucci are renowned for their ability to integrate into any rig, or to transform clean tones into entirely different sonic configurations. Offering these two legendary circuits in a single pedal with unprecedented combinations, the Throne of Tone reproduces all the sonic richness of the original vintage models, with essential features and controls easily accessible.
DUAL VOICING, UNRIVALED COMBOS, GIG-READY CONTROLS
The Throne Of Tone is first and foremost about unrivaled control and timeless sound. It faithfully reproduces the unique character of the two original pedals, with boutique studio-worthy gain and saturation modifications – on both sides! The voicing switch allows you to choose between "Blues" (the great classics) and "King" (a boutique studio favorite). A gain switch adds the typical boutique studio high/low gain modification, while the saturation mode allows each side to be used as an overdrive, distortion, or boost. A unique feature of this pedal: each side has a presence knob to sculpt the upper-mids and achieve a sharper sound. The global voltage doubling increases headroom, while the order toggle instantly changes the sequence of the effects. A top-mounted send/return jack allows for inserting pedals or chains between the two sides.
