The ES3 Echo Shifter is equipped with analog and digital delay modes. The analog mode offers a warm, natural sound with delay times ranging from 40 ms to 600 ms. Unlike other digital pedals that merely simulate an analog delay, the ES3 incorporates genuine analog circuitry. The digital mode offers longer delay times, up to 1500 ms. The pedal also includes a new modulation speed control, providing more options to tailor the effect to each musician's preferences. Unlike the ES2, where the oscillation function had to be activated manually using a mini-switch, this same function is activated simply by holding down the right footswitch. This allows for quick changes to the quality and texture of the delay during a performance. The pedal retains the fader-based delay time control, the tap tempo switch, as well as the oscillation and modulation modes from the ES2. All these improvements provide a more practical pedal, greater sonic versatility, and increased musical potential.
