Following the immense success of the Little Mark Vintage head, which marked a new era for Markbass, we have designed the MARK VINTAGE PRE, a new tube preamp pedal featuring REAL TRUE BYPASS technology, ready to become an indispensable tool for professional bass players. The MARK VINTAGE PRE offers a very wide range of sounds, from modern to vintage, and many other features to meet any need.
4-band EQ, 3-way switch with preset EQ settings, DRIVE control with two types of distortion mixable with the clean signal via the BLEND control, +6 dB BOOST, AUX-IN and headphone outputs, effects send/return, and DI-LINE output with a dedicated transformer. Based on an idea from our star artist Marcus Miller, we have added RCA (with transformer) and TOSLINK digital outputs to this pedal with a 44.1/48/96 kHz sampling rate selector, making it the perfect studio tool for bass recording.

> 4-band EQ / 3-way switch
Like the Little Mark Vintage head, the 4-band EQ on the MARK VINTAGE PRE features new frequency center settings, optimized for a balanced sound that fits easily into the mix. A 3-way switch also offers three practical EQ presets to quickly obtain a FLAT setting, a CUT setting with scooped mids and boosted bass and highs, and an OLD setting with scooped highs for a classic vintage sound.
> Two types of distortion / Blend control
The MARK VINTAGE PRE offers two types of distortion (selectable via footswitch). The level of distortion, ranging from crunchy saturation to aggressive distortion, is controlled by the DRIVE knob. The BLEND control allows you to mix the DRIVE signal with the CLEAN signal from the tube preamp. Adding a bit of distortion during a studio recording helps achieve a beautiful bass sound that sits perfectly in the mix; this is a trick often used by studio professionals.
> Boost
The BOOST switch allows you to increase the signal level by up to +6 dB, giving you extra headroom instantly when you need it, for example, to stand out during a solo.
> True DI Box
The BALANCED DI OUT is a true transformer-balanced DI box. It is optimized to deliver a pure, full, and rich sound across all frequencies, handling extreme transients without introducing distortion or coloration.
> Digital outputs
Developed from an idea by our star artist, MARCUS MILLER, who was looking for a small professional unit for studio recordings, we have integrated RCA (with transformer) and TOSLINK digital outputs with a 44.1/48/96 kHz sampling rate selector, making it the ideal studio tool for bass recording. > Aux In / Headphone Out / Effects Loop
The MARK VINTAGE PRE includes a headphone output and an auxiliary input to connect an iPod or MP3 player and mix it with your bass. You can play and practice discreetly wherever and whenever you want. Additionally, an effects send/return loop allows you to interface your favorite effect pedals and multi-effects.
> True Bypass
This pedal features a "true bypass" circuit: when the MARK VINTAGE PRE is disengaged, audio signal quality is preserved.
