The Southeastern kingfisher has a modern sound signature that will catch your attention. Dual humbucker pickups deliver a sparkling high end with a high and midrange growl to give the "Kingfisher" a personality that will cut through the mix while holding the band together with its sweet, warm fundamental tone.
Designed in PRS's Maryland boutique, the Kingfisher is constructed with swamp ash and a neck-thru neck, giving it a sustained, balanced tone, while the figured maple veneer adds a touch of class. The 24-fret maple/walnut neck offers limitless possibilities for your creativity and tonal palette, and the 34-inch scale length makes this an instantly comfortable bass for players old and new. The "Kingfisher" pickups (4B 'H') are deep, thick humbucker pickups that provide great clarity and punch. These modern pickups have a distinct old-school tonal character that delivers that huge slamming sound that some modern basses lack.
