The SE P50E from PRS is a Parlor format acoustic with a powerful voice. With its solid spruce top and curly maple back and sides, the PRS SE P50E brings a sophisticated new aesthetic to the popular Parlor format. This body size offers bold projection with a more focused tone, and the maple back and sides provide unexpected warmth and tonal transparency. Combined with PRS's classic hybrid/"X" bracing, which allows the top to vibrate freely and project sound, the SE P50E has a three-dimensional character uncommon for a maple back and sides guitar.
The Tonare Parlor body shape and shorter scale length (62.79 cm) make this guitar comfortable to play for hours. When plugged in, the PRS-Voiced Fishman Sonitone pickup delivers a dynamic, organic sound that lets the instrument's natural sound shine through. “The EQ on this microphone system makes it sound like you've picked up the guitar sound with a mic. It’s very musical,” explains Paul Reed Smith. This electronic system features an under-saddle pickup and soundhole-mounted preamp, with easy-to-access volume and tone controls.
