The GX-10 allows for rapid sound creation thanks to its intuitive color touch screen and four dynamic parameter knobs. Assign up to two amps and 15 effects in each memory. Create series or parallel effect routings and change the order by dragging blocks with a finger on the screen. And plug in your favorite external pedals using the send/return loop. BOSS Tone Studio goes even further, allowing you to edit sounds and load impulse responses (IRs) from your computer, or tweak sounds wirelessly using our optional Bluetooth adapter and the mobile version of the app.
Flexible real-time control
With intelligent control options in a minimal layout, the GX-10 gives you powerful tools to adjust your sound in real-time while you play. Versatile control modes provide maximum flexibility with just three footswitches. The expression pedal alternates between volume and Wah and activates the tuner when you heel it all the way back. But you can customize it to control almost anything you want using the GX-10’s assign matrix.
Up/Down mode: simplify your rig by scrolling through memories one by one. Set up base memories for clean tones, "crunchy" rhythm tones, and lead tones. You can also load the 66 banks and 198 user memories with sounds customized for your setlist and scroll through them sequentially on stage.
Manual mode: allows you to reconfigure the footswitches to control three user-assignable targets. Use them like a pedalboard to turn effects on/off or to boost your solo. You can also go further by modifying up to 20 assignable parameters with a single press.
Bank/Number mode: allows you to select memories within banks. It also unlocks the Current Number function, which allows access to one or more parameters by pressing the footswitch of the currently loaded memory. With this function, you can expand your tonal options for each memory with a solo boost, an echo effect, or any other effect you wish to assign.
Organize and record
In addition to editing, BOSS Tone Studio lets you organize GX-10 sounds into Livesets for different gigs and playing situations. You can also access BOSS Tone Exchange in the app to download sounds created by pros and share GX-10 Livesets with the global BOSS community. These are also fully compatible with the GX-100. Furthermore, a built-in USB-C audio interface lets you capture high-quality guitar sounds in music production software on computers and mobile devices.
