RADIAL stereo direct box with USB interface
Radial's USB-Pro is a high-resolution stereo direct box designed to collect audio signals directly from a computer's USB port and transfer them to a pair of balanced audio outputs to feed a mixing console , a recorder or a sound system.
Plug & play and easy to use, the USB-Pro automatically configures with Mac OS X, Windows XP, Vista and 7 systems, eliminating the need for dedicated drivers. Unlike devices that are limited to 16-bit, 44.1 kHz, the USB-Pro works at 24-bit, 96kHz, which offers more headroom and detail. This also eliminates the need for an additional audio interface, or dedicated converter, when transferring signals and streamlines the production process in professional environments.
Connection to the computer is via a USB Type B port. The Digital-to-Analog conversion is 'monitored' via the headphone amp to ensure the signal is routed correctly. A 'Mono-Sum' switch can be engaged to check signal distribution across two outputs and possible phase problems. In addition, a 'Ground-lift' prevents potential ground loops. On the side, 2 switches allow you to insert isolation transformers into the signal path, on each output, to block the DC voltage offsets that sometimes appear in certain Live situations.
Like all Radial products, the USB-Pro is designed to withstand professional touring conditions. Inside, the construction is foolproof and ensures maximum circuit longevity.
