Product Description
An NT1 with XLR and USB for recording, podcasting and streaming
Featuring both an analog XLR connector and a digital USB-C connector, the 5th generation black Rode NT1 represents a major new advancement for this popular large-diaphragm working microphone. Both connection options provide a new level of flexibility, allowing users without an audio interface to plug directly into the computer for recording, podcasting and streaming tasks thanks to the built-in 32-bit floating-point A-to-D converter . Of course, if you have a favorite audio interface, podcasting station, or mic preamp, no problem—just connect the mic's XLR output to your analog gear and you're done. Combining a true condenser capsule, ultra-low noise circuitry and extremely durable housing, the Rode NT1 5th generation large diaphragm cardioid microphone is ideally suited for high-resolution digital recording of vocal and instrumental sources at home, in the studio or even on stage.

HF6 cardioid condenser capsule mounted on internal shock absorber
Behind the protective grille, the mic is equipped with a 1" Rode HF6 gold-filtered capsule, designed to provide detailed midrange response, smooth highs and warm bass.
The cardioid polar pattern focuses audio capture on the source in front of the mic, picking up less unwanted ambient sound from the back and sides.
The transducer itself is suspended inside the microphone using Rycote's industry-leading Lyre system, which minimizes external vibrations at the capsule. The capsule is then combined with high-quality electronic components, designed to provide extremely low noise levels. The NT1 5th Gen is an incredibly quiet microphone, with a self-noise of just 4 dBA.
The mic is powered by phantom power via the XLR connector or by bus power via the USB-C port.
Revolutionary preamplifier and 32-bit floating point converters

Rode has packed the digital portion of the NT1 5th Gen with innovative features to ensure exceptional audio quality from the USB connection, starting with the built-in Revolution preamplifier, which provides high gain at ultra-low noise to power the analog-to-digital converter .
With its 32-bit floating point A/D converter, you'll never have to worry about clipping again. The converter offers such high headroom and such a wide dynamic range that it's virtually impossible to overload, allowing you to not worry about maintaining perfect recording levels and focus more on your work creative.
Sampling rates up to 192 kHz are supported.
Control your audio and personalize your sound

Included Rode software lets you customize the NT1 5th Gen's sound signature to suit your voice with advanced APHEX processing, including the legendary Aural Exciter and Big Bottom.
Remove background noise and make your sound smooth, detailed and punchy with a compressor, noise gate and high-pass filter.
Make precise adjustments to achieve perfection with granular control of each processor, just like in professional audio mixing software.
All audio processing is handled by the powerful DSP chip built into the microphone, taking some strain off your processor.
The software makes it easy to connect and mix multiple USB microphones and sources at the same time, allowing you to podcast and stream without a dedicated audio interface.
Accessories provided

The 5th generation NT1 comes with the SM6, a high-quality suspension mount that helps isolate the microphone from external physical factors that can cause unwanted rumble and vibration.
It includes a removable pop guard with two adjustment axes and a telescopic arm for ultimate application versatility.
The mic also comes with a balanced XLR microphone cable and a USB-C to USB-C cable.
