Unveiling one of the smallest consumer audio I/Os to date for mics and XLR cables, Shure introduced its new MVX2U digital audio interface, a single-channel XLR to USB-C solution that simply slides onto a XLR plug and outputs to a USB-C socket.
The MVX2U comes with Auto Level mode, which adjusts real-time gain on the fly, providing up to +60 dB of clean gain. The MVX2U's built-in software can also be controlled using the ShurePlus MOTIV Desktop app. Manual mode allows users to change DSP settings, presets and additional parameters, including EQ, limiter and compressor presets. Recurring firmware updates will also be available for the MVX2U, so that the interface continues to adapt to user needs.
Aimed at streamers, podcasters, content creators, musicians and others, the interface also comes with phantom power enabled for those using a condenser microphone. In the box, users will find the MVX2U digital audio interface, a 1m USB-C to USB-C cable, and a printed quick start guide to help get started using the interface.
“The MVX2U is the most convenient and powerful solution for users looking to convert their XLR microphones to USB at this price,” shared Sean Sullivan, associate director of global product management. “The built-in software is designed to be accessible to everyone, from experienced professionals to those just starting out in the audio field.
