The system's revolutionary loudspeaker produces wide, uniform sound coverage of nearly 180 degrees – on stage and across an audience of several hundred people – with little attenuation in volume and tone.
The Model II system also includes articulated speaker array technology for improved tonal balance. The speaker's 24 vertically assembled drivers are precisely angled to create clearer highs and a more even tone across the room. Even people at the sides of these stage speakers enjoy well-balanced and detailed sound.
Rich, flexible bass
The high-performance B2 bass module provides better low-frequency output when you need more powerful bass for larger audiences. The module includes three settings for added flexibility. The normal setting is ideal for a bass or for picking up a kick drum. A higher setting is designed for DJs or music playing applications. And the lowest setting works well for acoustic guitar and vocals.
You can power a B2 bass module from a single L1 power cradle. And the optional PackLite® power amplifier lets you add a second B2 bass module for maximum power in this range.
Simple and efficient
The L1 Model II Power Stand weighs only 11 kg (24 lb), and its four retractable legs make it easy to transport and set up. The power base also features a simplified control section. Single line level input can be used with instruments, microphones, mixing consoles, laptops, MP3 players or DVD systems.
All system components are also built to handle the road. The speaker features a sturdy, reinforced grille, and each set includes padded carrying bags for the main components.
Multi-channel flexibility
The optional T1 ToneMatch controller adds four additional channels, allowing you to expand the system to connect additional instruments and microphones. You can also use the ToneMatch controller to fine-tune your sound with powerful and exclusive tone adjustment tools.
Features
The speaker's Spatial Dispersion™ and Articulated Array® technologies produce wide, even sound coverage. The 24 small drivers are arranged in accordance with Articulated Array speaker technology in a slim, vertical cabinet, creating nearly 180 degrees of horizontal coverage and even tonal balance.
The power cradle's built-in power amplifiers provide clean, precise amplification for the L1 Model II system with up to two B1 bass modules or one B2 bass module.
ToneMatch® port on power cradle for digital audio and power to the ToneMatch audio controller.
Analog input, balance control and signal/overdrive LEDs for line-level analog input using a 6.5 mm (¼ in.) TRS cable. Can be used for instruments or other audio sources such as DJ mixing consoles, MP3 players, computers or DVD systems.
Bass module output for amplified bass output to one or two B1 bass modules or one B2 module. The L1 system automatically adjusts EQ appropriately when bass modules are connected.
The bass line output generates a post-DSP bass signal. Compatible with 6.5 mm (¼ in.) TRS telephone cables. Use it to connect a powered subwoofer, an additional amplifier system, or a Bose® PackLite® amplifier with up to two additional bass modules.
Retractable feet provide stability to the sleek power stands and speakers. Four retractable legs deploy simultaneously on the power base for quick setup and compact transport.
Convenient carrying bags – one each for the speaker, power cradle and bass module – make moving to the venue so much easier.
B2 bass module
The speaker's highly practical design features two 13.3 cm (10 in.) high-level, high-excursion drivers that produce deep, powerful bass from a compact enclosure. Three level settings provide flexible output. When plugged into the power cradle, the active equalization circuit effectively adjusts the bass signal.
The compact box is easy to transport, install and disassemble. It is less bulky than conventional subwoofers, but just as efficient. The recessed end caps allow you to safely stack two modules on their side.
