The Meinl Sonic Energy Tingsha is faithful to the traditional Tibetan cymbal. This instrument consists of two metal plates attached to the ends of a cord. To produce a crystalline sound, simply strike them together gently. The uniqueness of this instrument lies in the interval between the two cymbals: one octave above the alpha state of our brain. By hearing the harmonics of each cymbal and perceiving the leap between them, it is easier to enter meditation. Tingshas are also used to release blockages in a person's vibratory field and their environment.
