These are the first pedal-sized guitar preamps to feature four valves and an all-valve signal path. This is no “ordinary” overdrive pedal! Copper_Ped_05 (low resolution).png Treble Boost Designed to be like a gain boost, this treble boost circuit helps push the front of the V4 to create overdrive and creamy valve sustain. The non-treble boost side goes from clean to slightly boosted, both sides have their own volume controls. You can control on/off and also channel 1/2 with a separate two-button latching footswitch or via a modern programmable switching unit. This means you can have the V4 Series pedal preamp on the floor and out of harm's way. Position one on channel one gives you full bass, when you switch to the treble boost side there is a bass cutoff. Position 2 has a global bass cut and position 3 has a full worldwide bass cut. The folded steel chassis and crash bar for the buttons mean this thing is ready for the road. To use it as a “normal” pedal or if you don’t have an effects loop, use “Standalone” mode.
