Two channels of classic British Overdrive!
The V4 Sheriff has two channels, the first being the Vintage channel based on 60s blues rock, while the hot rodded channel is all high gain from the 80s hair metal era.
Three-band equalizer
Powerful bass, mid and treble controls to shape your sound. These also have an effect on the gain character and drive levels - just like in any tube guitar amp.
Reverberation
Lush-sounding digital reverb gives you ambiance galore. Set it low for a subtle feeling of space, or max it out for a washed-out, splashy fullness! The reverb is footswitchable using a TRS cable (sold separately).
Two-note technology
Two Notes Audio Engineering DynIR Virtual Cabinet technology built into Torpedo is on board the Sheriff. The Cab Sim XLR allows you to easily take your Victory virtual speakers anywhere. The presets were created by Graham Coxon for Sheriff.
Serial effects loop
Places between the preamp and the power amp. Run your time-based effects here for maximum clarity.
Balanced line output and headphone output
Send direct feed to a separate speaker simulator, at the front of the house or wherever you choose. Can be used with or without a connected speaker. The built-in headphone output makes silent practice quick and easy.
9V DC power output
Want to power additional pedals and stick them to your board? We have included a center-negative 9V DC output which will provide a maximum of 500mA. This is more than enough for the vast majority of analog drives, fuzzes and delays etc.
VRC – Valve Response Circuit
The idea behind this little piece of circuitry is to mimic what a "resonance" or "kick" (other adjectives are available!) control does in the power amp of a tube amp. So with the VRC(™) circuit you get close to what a tube power section should feel like, but in a small amp you can throw it in your backpack and still get up to 180 watts of power !
TWO NOTE TECHNOLOGY
We've teamed up with the incredibly talented people at Two notes Audio Engineering to integrate their incredible technology into our V4 Sheriff Guitar amp.
Right out of the box, you have access to six presets created by Victory artist Graham Coxon. These were specially created by Graham for the V4 Sheriff guitar amp. There are ten virtual Victory speakers included with the amp and a collection of microphones and positions to choose and create your own presets. All of this is accessible by plugging the V4 Sheriff guitar amp into your computer, via Torpedo Remote (downloadable for free from the Two notes website) - this is also where you access power amp modes, parts, studio quality equalizer and audio amplifier. . Register your device with Two notes to access two additional Two notes DynIR booths.
THE HISTORY OF V4 AMP VALVES!
The V4 amps have interesting tubes, to be precise 3 CV4014s and 1 EC900. The CV4014s were manufactured in 1981 at the Mullard factory in England, then stored in a climate-controlled atmosphere deep underground, the depot was part of a Cold War nuclear bunker! They stayed there until we decided to design products based on them!
The EC900s were manufactured by EI (Elektronska Industrija) in the former Yugoslavia under license from Phillips and Mullard, they were produced to an incredibly high standard, so much so that we included a 2 year warranty on the V4 amps .
