GERMANIUM TUMNUS
To this day there is an overdrive circuit that is among the most talked about, most sought after and most legendary of all. It's that legendary sound that every guitarist dreams of. Brian Wampler captured that magic with his original Tumnus circuit, and it has since graced the pedalboards of thousands of players around the world. The Tumnus has stood the test of time and prevailed in countless pedal battles, often winning even against the original Klon pedal. The appeal of this original overdrive had a lot to do with a very specific "secret" germanium diode, nicknamed "unobtanium" by the original creator, Bill Finnegan. These diodes were said to be the heartbeat of the coveted sound, but they had long been sold out. Despite this, Wampler fans asked Brian to create a Tumnus using the same vintage spec clipping diode as those early Klons. After a massive hunt, Brian found a small stash of these elusive diodes and used them to create a series of limited edition pedals: the Germanium Tumnus. The Germanium Tumnus is a versatile addition to any pedalboard. Stack it with another pedal to help push or shape the total amount of gain, use it as a slightly dirty boost to push the front end of your amp over the edge, or use it as a d pedal 'autonomous overdrive and let it roar as nature intended. .
